Steve and Suzanne spent seven of the last twelve years as cross-cultural workers at Ashesi University in Ghana, West Africa. Suzanne was Provost and Steve was a lecturer of leadership, as well as informal chaplain to students, faculty and staff. They have been blissfully married for almost 33 years.
Steve is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, and Suzanne took early retirement from Southwestern University, where she was an Associate Professor of Computer Science. Before moving to Ghana, Steve served several local churches as lead pastor, associate pastor of discipleship, and director of music and technology.
Steve and Suzanne have three young adult children. Their oldest, (Wesley) Fox, develops virtual reality game experiences for a Google company in Austin, Texas. Grace and her husband Ryosuke recently gave Steve & Suzanne their first granddaughter, Nelda. They also live in the Austin area, where Grace works at IBM and Ryosuke is earning an MBA. Their lastborn, Anna, works at Cognex, a machine vision company in the Boston, Massachusetts area.
In their spare time Steve and Suzanne like to travel, cook interesting food, hike, snorkel and snow ski.
